Sat. July 3, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.: Silver Clay Date (Learn more about program.) Come play with silver clay! Each participant will make between one and four pieces of fine silver -- to be worn as pendants, earrings, or fun dangles for bracelets, key chains, cell phones, bookmarks and more! Beginners welcome. Fee: $35 for first packet and $25 for each additional (includes clay packet, use of tools, hands-on help and firing).
July 6-9, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Summer Camp: Beach Glass!: This week's Tuesday through Friday sessions are for students entering grades 6 through 8. Theme: Beach Glass Projects. Campers may attend just one session or all of them! Campers will be hands-on creative, and they will finish at least one project each day. Full week: $90; One-day, only: $25. Discounts available for enrolling in multiple weeks and/or multiple children.

With this easy class, learn how to knot between beads and make an end loop that fastens the bracelet in place. The hardest part will be selecting your beads! Mon. July 26, 7-9 p.m.: Ladies Night: Charms and Cheers Treat yourself to a night out with the girls! Sample our Lilly Ollo/create-your-own silver charm program while Charles Scott Salon and Spa provides chair massages and The Pub caters a sampling of their menu. Each attendee will make one small charm. Upgrades and add-on's are optional, and will be priced according to selection. View mold and stamp selections online. Cost: $35.

Saturdays July 24 and July 31, 2-4 p.m. Channel Cut Glass Jewelry 2-part class (See Larger photo.)
Create your own unique glass beads, then learn how to "suspend" them by channel cutting and wire wrapping them together. An assortment of glass will be available, and proper cutting and assembling techniques will be covered during the first part of the workshop. Firing will be done off-site, and returned for the second week of class when students will learn how to channel cut and assemble the finished pieces. Fee: $75, includes all materials for both classes. Additional beads and findings are optional and priced as marked. Instructor: Jenn Szalkowski

Sat. Aug. 14, 11 a.m.-12 noon; also offered 1:30-2:30 p.m. Beach Glass Drilling (See Larger photo.) Get the confidence to start drilling your own beach glass. We will have tools available for use in class, but if you would like to bring your own, we suggest a Dremel tool and/or Flex shaft, a shallow dish and a sponge. One diamond drill bit will be provided for each participant to drill as many pieces of beach glass as possible during the class timeframe. Fee: $20, includes all supplies. Instructor: Betsy Flanagan
Sat. Aug. 14, 12:30-1:30 p.m. Coil Cuff Featuring Beach Glass (See Larger photo.) Learn to bend Aluminum wire to fashion this fun-to-wear cuff bracelet. It's a great complement to the morning beach glass drilling class! Fee: $15, includes wire. Beach glass drilling is not included. You may purchase drilled glass from Embellish - starting at $5 per double-drilled piece. Instructor: Laura Jacobs
Tues. Aug. 17, 6-8 p.m. Beach Glass Riveting (See Larger photo.) Students will be introduced to simple tube rivets to line holes drilled into sea glass. We will also discuss safe techniques to rivet beach glass to other materials. Each participant will design either earrings or pendant in this class. Please bring in 3 pieces of glass at least two days ahead of class to have the holes drilled. During class we will talk about boring out the holes further, but drilling will likely not be done during class.

Sat. Aug 21, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Beyond Chain: Chain Maille Bracelet (See Larger photo.) As recently published in Bead & Button, Embellish has permission to teach this stunning chain maille design. Each participant will select crystal beads, then learn to link them with aluminum rings. Fee: $40, includes all supplies. (Copper or sterling silver jump ring kits available at additional cost. Please request at least one week in advance.) Instructor: Francine Jablonski
Wed. Aug. 25, 6-9 p.m. Intro
to Piercing (See Larger photo.
) Students will work with a jewelers saw
to create stunning designs out of a flat piece of metal. We
will learn how to properly hold the saw in order to prevent
injury and minimize the blade breakage. We will also
discuss the proper techniques for choosing a saw blade and
loading the blade into the frame. Fee: $50, includes all
materials (This is a companion class to Tab Setting on Aug.
31; if you register for both, save 10% - or pay just $45 for

Wed. Aug. 25, 6-7:30 p.m. Chain Maille Ring (See Larger photo.) Try your hand at chain maille in this quick workshop. Working with aluminum, create a band to fit your finger as you learn the proper technique of opening and closing the jump rings. Teens welcome. Fee: $18, includes all supplies. Sat. Aug. 28, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.: Viking Knit Bracelet (See Larger photo.) Make your own decorative woven wire bracelet, using this ages old technique. This classic chain can be worn alone or with larger holed beads. Shop our perlAmore trunk show (Aug. 6-14) for a selection of premium quality Murano glass large holed beads. Students will use craft wire and sterling silver findings to finish the chain. Class Fee: $50, includes all materials and use of tools. Beads are optional and priced as marked. Tues. Aug. 31, 6-9 p.m. Tab Setting (See Larger photo.
) Students will work with a jewelers saw to create a stunning pendant out of a simple sheet of metal that will hold a cabochon in place. Students will find it extremely helpful to take the piercing class first, but it is not required. Fee: $50, plus cost of cabochon (Or, bring your own. Sat. Sept. 4, 1-4 p.m.: Riveting: Industrial Earrings (See Larger photo.)
Attach metal to metal without heat! Learn how to add texture and different metal to your silver or copper pieces. You will also learn a simple wire wrapping technique to finish off your project: fun, hip earrings which you can wear every day! Class Fee: $45, includes all materials and use of tools. Sat. Sept. 18, 9:30 a.m.-12 noon GemStreet Show Class: Beach Glass Jewelry (See Larger photo.) Do you love collecting beach glass and always wondered what to do with all those beautiful pieces? Join this session and learn how to make rings and pendants with and without holes. All tools and supplies will be provided by the instructor. Please bring in your beach glass collection, or select from the instructor's stash. Teacher will provide tools for use during class. Please note while instructor will demonstrate drilling holes, students will likely not have a hands-on experience drilling holes during the class. Fee: $45, includes all materials. Sat. Sept. 18, Two seatings: 1–2:30 p.m. and 3–4:30 p.m. GemStreet Show Class: Wired Cuff (See Larger photo.) Work with aluminum wire and Kazuri beads of Africa to create a funky cuff bracelet. Share and learn from others with bead experience. You have free use of our tools, free soldering, and a 15% off discount for all purchases starting at $50. Bring whatever projects you're working on! Don't forget to pack your favorite finished projects to share with other attendees. Cost to attend is free if you spend $25 or more, or bring a new customer to the store. Otherwise the cost is just $5. Registration required.
Requirement: Must be a self-sufficient beader. If you would like help with basic skills (such as crimping and wire wrapping), please register for Technique Primer Night.
Technique Primer Night
Third Tuesday of every month (2010: Jan. 19, Feb. 16, March 16, Apr. 20, May 18, June 15, July 20, Aug. 17, Sept. 14, Oct. 19, Nov. 16, Dec. 14)

Similar to "Club Embellish" - but this night features hands-on assistance! Bring your supplies and we'll help you learn beading basics, tailored to your requests. Best to come with a technique in mind (such as crimping, wire wrapping, etc.) Cost to attend is free if you spend $25 or more OR if you bring two friends. Otherwise it is just $10! Stock up on supplies this night. You will earn a 15% discount for purchases of $50 or more. Registration required.
